My name is Wayne. I’m 28 years old and live near Denver, Colorado. I am married with two fur-children.
Howsed details and documents my many home improvement projects. I am a battle tested DIYer (do-it-yourselfer) having spent the better part of the past two decades learning (professionally or otherwise) a wide range of skill sets including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, carpet, drywall, landscaping, sprinklers, cement, and painting. My favorite show is This Old House, The Home Depot is my second home, and I once shoved Norm Abram (not really).
The purpose of this blog is to pass on some of my accrued knowledge to those who need it, and hopefully improve my own skills by getting feedback or advice from those willing to dispense it. I also love website and graphic design and this gives me an opportunity to practice it. It’s a win-win-win situation.
Our house was built in 1980. Thankfully it was built post-asbestos, but a lot of it is in desperate need of updating. Our house just might be the cheapest house in a fantastic neighborhood in South Denver, which is really a great position to be in. It won’t be the cheapest house in the neighborhood when we’re done with it.
I am constantly working on some type of project. My wife is an interior designer so I don’t think my to-do list will ever get very short. The big project at our current house is to complete the unfinished 50% of our basement (including a new bedroom and what is going to be an awesome man room). I will be doing all of the framing, electrical, drywall, flooring, heating, and painting myself, so it will require all of my skills and I’ll feel like a big deal when it’s done. I hope to have that completed in 2008, but I’ve got a few other projects in the queue before starting on the big one.

Love your Web site! I love your office space and IMac! We have been fixing up for almost 20 years but at a slower pace and getting slower all the time. I am sorry I took only one before/after picture in all those years.
